The advantages of faux wood shutters

Faux wood shutters are actually made out of vinyl so they won’t warp, fade, peel or crack like real wood can.  They are also less expensive for those on a tight budget.  The vinyl color selection is often limited to white or off white so if you want that real wood grain look, you are out of luck with these.

Other things to consider when thinking about faux wood shutters, they are an excellent choice if you live in a humid climate or if you are installing them in solariums or near hot tubs.  They are also flame retardant and actually insulate better than real wood shutters.  The smooth surface makes them a breeze to clean so they will look great for years.
