Bay window curtains - how to keep the view along with the privacy

There is nothing like a bay window to give your room a brighter, larger look and feel.  What some people find challenging is choosing the right bay window curtains.  Believe it or not, any window treatments will work well in a bay.  Here’s a little tip you should be aware of when buying bay window curtains or coverings.  It there is no drywall between the windows to anchor the window blinds, you will likely have a gap where the blinds meet.

Now if you can live with a gap, no problem.  Unfortunately, most people don’t like having a visible gap in their bay window curtains.  If this is the case, using an experience window blind and curtain salesperson may be your answer.  It is quite likely they have come across this situation before and can give you some good alternatives for window treatments.

Any time you have a large window with a great view you want to take advantage of it.  An excellent choice is a window shade that can be pulled up tight to give you the best and largest unobstructed view possible.  A popular choice is a honeycomb shade with the top-down, bottom-up option.  You can also look at these as an alternative to your bay window curtains.  Our recommendation, talk to an expert before you buy.
